Crittendenceratops krzyzanowskii

(Krzyzanowski's Crittenden Horned Face)Etymology
Crittendenceratops is derived from "Crittenden" (referring to the Fort Crittenden Formation where it was found) and the Greek "ceras" (horned) and "ops" (face). The species epithet, krzyzanowskii, honours the late Stan Krzyzanowski, who discovered and collected the holotype.

Discovery
The remains of Crittendenceratops were discovered in the Fort Crittenden Formation at Adobe Canyon, Santa Rita Mountains, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA, by Stan Krzyzanowski in 2000. The holotype (NMMNH P-34906) consists of two skull bones. Referred material includes more skull bones (ASDM 1935, ASDM 1975, and ASDM 1981), a lower jaw bone (ASDM 380), and teeth (ASDM, 884, ASDM 1133, and ASDM 1138), collected by Arizona Sonora Desert Museum volunteers in the same area during the mid 1990's.
