Ojoraptorsaurus boerei

Ojoraptorsaurus is derived from "Ojo" (referring to the Ojo Alamo Formation), the Latin "raptor" (plunderer, thief, robber), and the Greek "saurus" (lizard).
The species epithet, boerei, honours discoverer Arjan C. Boere.
Discovery
The remains of Ojoraptorsaurus were discovered in the Naashoibito Member of the Ojo Alamo Formation at Barrel Springs, San Juan Basin, New Mexico, by Arjan C. Boere in the summer of 2002.
The holotype (SMP VP-1458) is a nearly complete pair of fused pubes (pelvic bones).
