(Lin's Yanta Dragon)Etymology
Yantaloong is derived from "Yanta" (Wild Goose Tower), a famous historical landmark in the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, where the holotype was collected, and the Pinyin "loong" (dragon).
The
species epithet,
lini (LEE-nee),
honours Professor Wenxun Lin for his contributions to Chinese economic history studies and his support of palaeontological research in Yunnan.
