Coahuilasaurus lipani

Coahuilasaurus is derived from "Coahuila" (in reference to Coahuila State where the fossils were found) and the Greek "sauros" (lizard).
The
species epithet,
lipani, refers to the Lipan Apache tribe of Coahuila.
