Alcmonavis poeschli

(Pöschl's Alcmona Bird)Etymology
Alcmonavis is derived from "Alcmona" (the old Celtic name of the Altmühl River meandering through the region of the find) and the Latin "avis" (bird). The species epithet, poeschli, honours discoverer Roland Pöschl.
Discovery
The remains of Alcmonavis were discovered in the Mörnsheim Formation of the Solnhofen Archipelago at Old Schöpfel Quarry, at the Schaudiberg near Mühlheim, in the district of Eichstätt, Bavaria, Germany, by amateur palaeontologist Roland Pöschl in November 2017.
The holotype (SNSB-BSPG 2017 I 133,) is a right wing.
