Changmiania liaoningensis

(Eternal Sleeper from Liaoning)Etymology
Changmiania is derived from the Chinese Pinyin "changmian" (eternal sleep), referring to the "sleeping" pose in which the known specimens were found. The species epithet, liaoningensis, is derived from "Liaoning" (for Liaoning province) and the Latin "-ensis" (from).
Discovery
The remains of Changmiania were discovered in the Lujiatun Beds of the Yixian Formation near Lujiatun Village, Shangyuan, Beipiao City, Western Liaoning Province, China, and were acquired by the Paleontological Museum of Liaoning (PMOL) in Shenyang, partially prepared, from local farmers.
The holotype (PMOL AD00114) is a nearly complete articulated skeleton, 117 cm long. A second nearly complete specimen, PMOL LFV022, was referred.
